An 11-year-old Suffolk school student and her pony are celebrating being named reserve champions at one of the country’s most famous equestrian locations.

Gravitas the highest scoring yearling

Local breeder Oliver Signy from Woodbridge earned a high accolade for his young horse, Gravitas, at the Baileys Horse Feed/British Breeding/British Equestrian Federation Futurity Evaluations held recently at Keysoe.

Alice Hallows wins at Little Downham

Alice Hallows and her pony Howards Dun won their section at Little Downham and have qualified for the Grassroots Championships at next year’s Badminton. Alice, a 12 year old from Suffolk, finished on her dressage score of 28. Howards Dun came to Mike and Sarah Hallows as a just ridden away youngster from Chuck at RideIrish, Alice has done most of the work on her, especially this year which is their first season BE eventing.
