Whether training or competing, it’s important for the working horse to have a fully balanced diet at all times to be sure he has all the nutrients he needs to fuel and support his work and maintain condition. He also needs to maintain internal reserves, and this doesn’t just mean body fat, so that he is better able to recover from competition days or harder training sessions.
