Norfolk-based Redwings Horse Sanctuary’s Annual Show will be on Sunday 19th May at Topthorn Equestrian Centre, Stonham Aspel, Suffolk with high hopes for it being the biggest one yet.
After a successful show last year, which saw over 320 entries in over 60 classes, the charity is hoping the show will build on previous success and become even larger. The show will have qualifiers for TARRA, Veteran Horse Society, Royal London Show, and Donkey Breed Society affiliated classes. There is something for novices on their first time out, oldies on their hundredth and of course several classes dedicated to all the lovely rescue horses and ponies for whom things could have been very different. Redwings Sanctuary Farms Manager and show organiser Emma Lacey explains: “If you aren’t competing then just come along for a day out with the family, it doesn’t cost anything to watch and you’re sure to see lots of beautiful horses, ponies and donkeys! It’s a fun and friendly day out.” There will also be a second-hand tack stall for those looking for a bargain, plus a café serving hot and cold refreshments. Eastern Light Photography will also be in attendance to help capture memories of the day. The schedule will appear shortly at www.redwings.co.uk
