Pet charity Blue Cross is calling for nominations for its historic Blue Cross medal.
The leading pet charity has reinstated the medal, which will be awarded in 2014, to mark 100 years since the First World War and commemorate its history of helping animals on the battlefields and recognise the varied role that pets play today.
Blue Cross is looking for nominations from owners or handlers of pet who have saved or changed someone’s life, and want to celebrate their achievement by putting them forward for this very special edition medal. Nominations could include:
· serving or working animals
· bravery stories
· life changing partnerships/assistance animal
