Great Britain Team Selected for the FEI World Para-Equestrian Driving Championships at Sandringham

Following the last of the Team GB selection trials at Escrick Park last weekend, the team and individuals representing Great Britain at the FEI World Para-Equestrian Driving Championships (Singles) has been announced.

The team of three will consist of Mick Ward from Downham Market, Suffolk, with Toby, Deborah Daniel from Whitchurch, Shropshire, with Valeside Galaxy and Lindsey Tyas Paice from Ware, Hertfordshire, with Trixie’s Silver Spirit owned by Lady Iveagh.

Individuals will be Lucy Barclay from Stixwould, Lincolnshire, (first team reserve), Sue Johnson from Blakeney, Gloucestershire, Judi Ralls, Margaret Lupton from Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland, and Sarah Baverstock from Brighton in Sussex. As host nation, Britain is permitted to enter five individuals as well as the team.

Mick secured his team place early on having won four of the six selection events, Deborah Daniel won two and was placed second at Escrick while Lindsey came second at five events; the best three positions to count. All three para-drivers have previous International experience with Mick and Deborah being part of the team that won Bronze two years ago when Lindsey drove as an individual.
