We catch up with UK-based Australian horseman, Jason Webb, who specialises in starting young horses and retraining horses with behavioural and ridden problems at his center in Kent.
In this second part of our three-part feature, Jason works with Hazel, a spooky 5-year-old 15.3hh mare, who has just been started. “Hazel is quite a quirky little horse and she tends to internalise her tension,” explains Jason, “which then results in outbursts. If we can work through this tension problem, we have the key to unlocking that tightness and helping Hazel learn to relax.”
