Honest Riders sets a sustainability challenge for equestrians across the country

An Instagram Challenge seeking to prompt a huge shift in mindset is set to hit equestrians all over the country and beyond this July. Honest Riders, the ethical equestrian brand, will be challenging equestrians to commit to 5 small changes to make their life more sustainable.

The challenge, named #RidersOnAMission, will feature 40 small ways that equestrians can reduce plastic waste, improve their carbon footprint and contribute to improving animal welfare. Riders taking part will be asked to select 5 of the 40 and commit to them for 30 days.

Honest Riders has collaborated with several other equestrian brands and non-equestrian eco-focused brands to provide a wealth of helpful information supporting the small changes.

Zoe Kiff, founder and Director, created the challenge to address increasing concerns from equestrians that our industry and lifestyles in general are not as eco-friendly as they should be. “Thanks to the ‘David Attenborough Affect’, our impact on the planet is more top of mind than ever before” she says. “Equestrians are aware that they need to do more to reduce their environmental impact, but it all feels quite overwhelming to tackle in one go. This challenge will offer tips from brands and industry experts from the equestrian and wider world on how making small changes will make a big difference.”

The Challenge will go live on @honest.riders Instagram on the 1st July and run for 30 days. All participation can be viewed by searching for the hashtag #RidersOnAMission
