With just a week to go until the start of the RDA National Championships, excitement is really starting to build as the charity’s flagship event gets ready to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
To raise awareness of the amazing achievements of RDA participants and the fantastic work of its volunteers, You Tube sensation This Esme will be attending the event on Saturday 13th July.
With more than three million views per month to her channel, Esme will be creating vlogs live from the championships as well as meeting competitors and presenting awards and prizes.
A keen supporter of volunteering, Esme gained her own Young Equestrian Leaders Award (YELA) which is designed to recognise the time and effort young volunteers give to equestrianism. Through this she expanded her own knowledge of the benefits of horse riding.
Esme said: “I am thrilled to be able to support RDA in their 50th anniversary year and look forward to meeting as many people as possible at the event and it would be great to inspire a few new volunteers.”
Communications Co-ordinator Beth Randles said: “We are so excited that Esme is coming to see us, to find out more about this fantastic event and helping to raise awareness of the need for new volunteers. She will also highlight the amazing achievements of our participants through her vlogs to her many young followers.”
The RDA National Championships is free to attend for anyone looking for a great day out with hundreds of competitors from all over the country taking part in events including carriage driving, Countryside Challenge, dressage, showjumping, vaulting and showing.
Providing an opportunity to get together RDA Groups, volunteers and participants, the RDA National Championships boasts a fantastic atmosphere and camaraderie that is unrivalled at any other equestrian event.
The RDA National Championships takes place between 12th – 14th July at Hartpury College, Gloucester.
