In line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we have recently updated our Privacy Policy, to clearly state how we use and protect your personal information.

Information we collect from you
We will collect personal information from you when you make contact with, place an Order, enter a Competition or take part in a Reader Survey in reference to the Absolute Horse Magazine. Your personal information will include your name, address, postcode, telephone number and email.
How we use this information
We require certain personal information from you in order to process your Order, Enquiry, Competition Entry, Reader Survey Entry as you have requested.
- Magazine Order / Subscription Order
We will use your personal information and payment details to process the Order that you place via our website absolutehorsemagazine.com or via our office telephone. We will use your personal information to process your Order and dispatch the Order to you (whether that is on a single-purchase basis ie. one specific copy of the Absolute Horse Magazine or on a monthly basis if you have ordered an annual Subscription to the Absolute Horse Magazine).
If the Order or Subscription is for a friend/relative, we will require their name and address for delivery fulfilment purposes. Their personal information will remain on our database for the duration of the subscription.
Any/all payment/s will be made via secure software provided by Paypal and Stripe. - Enquiry
We will use your name, email and possibly your telephone number to respond to an Enquiry that you have made to us using one of our Absolute Horse Magazine email addresses, or via the Contact Us mechanism on our website absolutehorsemagazine.com, or via our office telephone system. - Competition Entry
The Absolute Horse hosts Competitions in each edition in conjunction with specially selected third parties, that require the reader to make their entry using the Competition entry-mechanism on our website absolutehorsemagazine.com. The third party will be clearly indicated in the Competition text (e ‘We’ve teamed up with XXX to offer readers a chance to win…’)
We will use the personal information you provide to us (your name, address, postcode, telephone number and email) to process your Competition Entry.
We will use your name and address to write to you in the event that you win a Competition prize.
We may then have to contact you directly to obtain additional personal information (such as shoe size, dress size, colour preference, etc) to ensure that the Competition prize you receive is correct.
This information will then be shared with the Competition provider in order that they dispatch and ship the prize/s to you.
In the event that you win a Competition, we will publish your first name, surname and county in a future edition of the Absolute Horse Magazine. - Reader Survey Entry
We will use the personal information you provide to us (your name, address, postcode, telephone number and email) to process your Reader Survey Entry.
If you choose to submit a report, letter, comment on social media, photograph or some other message that is intended to communicate and correspond with the Absolute Horse Magazine and it’s readers, we may use your first name, surname and county alongside your submission within a future edition of the Absolute Horse Magazine without additional contact with you.
Where and why we store it
We take every care to protect your personal information. It is stored on a password-protected secure Customer Relationship Management cloud-based system, and is accessible only by Company Directors of PCD Media (East Anglia) Ltd.
We store your personal information to ensure that we can make contact with you in the event of any problems that arise when completing your Order/Enquiry/Competition Entry/Reader Survey Entry.
We also store your personal information for direct marketing from the Absolute Horse Magazine in reference to our promotions, magazine notifications, newsletters and surveys. By providing, or having previously provided your email address you consent to being contacted by email for this purpose.
Request that we update or delete your information
We will not sell or disclose your personal information to any third party other than outlined above for prize fulfilment/delivery purposes. If you would like to check on the personal information that we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to our use of your personal information at any time, please write to the Data Controller and your personal information will be removed immediately.

COMPETITION TERMS:
Competition/s are open to all residents of the UK, except PCD Media (East Anglia) Ltd employees, their close relatives and anyone connected with the Competition/s. Entry to the Competition is via www.absolutehorsemagazine.com unless otherwise stated. Closing date is competition specific. Entrants must supply personal information in order to enter the Competition. Winner will be drawn at random from those entered. PCD Media (East Anglia) Ltd will not be responsible for any travel or accommodation costs. No cash alternative is available and the prize/s is non-transferable. Only one entry is allowed per household regardless of method of entry. No correspondence relating to the Competition will be entered into. Winner/s will be announced in a future edition of Absolute Horse Magazine. Entrants must make themselves available for post-Competition publicity. PCD Media (East Anglia) Ltd reserves the right to cancel/amend the Competition/s and prize/s at any stage, if deemed necessary in it’s opinion. PCD Media (East Anglia) Ltd will only ever use personal details for the purposes of administering this Competition, and will not publish them in whole, or provide them to a third party (please see Privacy Policy for more details). Absolute Horse Magazine is not responsible for delays associated with delivery of prize/s. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering Competitions within Absolute Horse Magazine.
